Quick Facts about the GROW Programme:

The programme is open to candidates from the fields of Social Science, Humanities, Engineering and Natural Science.
All selected candidates will receive full-time employment and remuneration in the Netherlands.
Applicants should apply with a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) oriented topic for consideration.
No research proposal is required.
Applicant must have a strong connection with Africa.
A high level of English proficiency is required.
Candidates are required to identify at least two potential supervisors in their application.
Applicants must have a master's degree that was earned less than 10 years before the call.
The deadline for application is 31st January 2024.

RESEARCH MASTER AFRICAN STUDIES 2024-2026

The University of Leiden, Netherlands, is offering one full scholarship for African Candidates. Here are 10 quick facts about the scholarship:

Tuition waiver.
Candidate will be given a monthly allowance of €1,250.
Application requirements include: CV, a copy of transcripts and diplomas (certificates), motivation letter (max 1,200 words) and a recommendation letter.
The aforementioned should be sent to Leiden University or any other designated emails latest 29th November, 2023.
Candidate should have a bachelors in African Languages and Cultures, Linguistics, History, literature, Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Political Science, Public Administration and other related fields in Humanities.
Candidate must have an affinity with scholarly research and reporting.
The following language requirements apply: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 100, or C2 proficiency in English.
Interviews will be conducted on the 11th of December, 2023.
Shortlisted applicants should apply for an official admission at Leiden University, latest, 1st February 2024.

10 QUICK FACTS ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

A scholarship offered by Wageningen University in the Netherlands to support capacity building in Africa.
Candidate should be a citizen of an African country.
Candidate must be unconditionally accepted into an MSc. Programme at Wageningen University, before the February 1 deadline.
Candidate must be an excellent student with a first class honours or a GPA of 80% or higher.
Selection for the scholarship is strictly based on invitation to the programme.
Selected group of candidates will be invited by email on March 21, 2024
Candidates will be required to complete an assignment. Successful candidates will be interviewed from April 23 to may 3, 2024
The scholarship covers: travel allowance, tuition fee, living allowance, Visa and health insurance costs and a budget for one seminar in Europe.
Deadline for application is February 1, 2024.

TEN FAST FACTS ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP:

The Scholarship is open to over 180 countries.
The Scholarship comes in two types ie. The Research Scholarships and the Arts Scholarships.
The research scholarship ( research fellowship , PhD , Postdoc ) is available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline (minimum qualification required is a masters degree)
The Art scholarships are open to art students wishing to pursue an initial arts master’s degree in Switzerland.
Application requirements (differs from discipline to discipline) : Signed application form, CV, motivation letter, 2 letters of recommendation, a complete research proposal, two copies of applicants passport biodata page, signed FCS medical certificate, a letter from host professor from a Swiss institution, photocopies of transcripts and grading scale.
Benefits: Health insurance, grants of 1,920-42,000 CHF a year, housing allowance and a return flight for non-EU grantees.
Candidates who have been in Switzerland for more than one year preceding the start of the scholarship are not eligible.
Selection criteria will be based on the candidate's profile, the quality of research work and the potential for future research cooperation.
Successful candidates for the 2024-25 academic year will be announced by the end of May 2024. Scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year will be advertised online from August 2024.

The Scholarship provides a relocation grant for moving to Montréal, Canada.
Successful candidates earn a living stipend of $2000 per month in an academic term.
All tuition and fees are covered during the master's or professional program.
